We have had to make changes in our schedule for the International Conference on Children and Nature that was originally planned for this summer. The conference has been re-scheduled for March 4 - 7, 2009 in Victoria, BC, Canada.
We are sorry for any inconvenience resulting from the change but we are convinced this will result in a more successful and beneficial conference.
We will be providing more information through this newsletter [sign up to recieve this regular newsletter] and on our website [International Conference] as plans develop. Please spread the word to potentially interested individuals and organizations.
We can't always report on the activites of Richard Louv and the Children and Nature Network (C&NN) but we encourage those that are interested to sign up at their website - http://www.cnaturenet.org/
A couple of important notices that we would like to pass along are:
1. check out some new videos of the C&NN on YouTube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrDIbt80Ve8
2. check out the C&NN Movement Map on their home page during April [Children and Nature Awareness Month] and see all the acitivties from around North America that are linked to the movement. It will be an encouraging bit of time spent appreciating all the work being done by people who share your vision.
Take a look at what is happening in Alberta at the end of next month. Chris and John Guilbeault of Lak’Ech EcoLodge and Ranch are hosting an event called "Sharing Nature With Children" with Joseph Cornell, May 31/June 1, 2008, Red Deer, Alberta.
We have had some information on our "What's New?" page for a while which you can access at: http://www.naturechildreunion.ca/whats-new
or you can find out more by contacting Chris and John at: cnh@hughes.net
